As the Business Analyst - Supply Chain for the CAPP Division, you will be responsible for managing the metal material planning, procurement, and delivery to ensure the efficient and effective movement of materials from suppliers to the appropriate CAPP Sites.
You will play a critical role in optimizing the supply chain processes by identifying and addressing bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for improvement and support the organization's supply chain needs to run smoothly and efficiently to ensure a profit, material continuity.
Key
Responsibilities:
Metal Material ManagementResponsible for planning, purchasing, and monitoring the metal materials, track to production volume, monitor customers' purchase trends and determine the CAPP Metal needs by utilizing forecast inputs from Sales, other customer knowledge, information, market studies, historical information, market data, sourcing feedback/guidance and collaboration efforts with cross-functional teams.
Accountable to coordinate activities related to the planning and procurement of raw materials and contribute to the global balancing of Materials within Global Planning, ensuring efficient and effective procurement & inventory practices and optimizing the balance between quality, service, reliability, and cost.
Align and collaborate with Metals Sourcing to determine Metal Suppliers per Metal Specifications, tonnage, timing to ship, timing to receive, logistics and handle purchase order management based on the allocations defined.
Monitor supplier performance and assist sourcing with managing supplier relationships to ensure that materials are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
Ensure Material deliveries are on time and work with appropriate stakeholders to uphold material continuity and on-time delivery.
Analyze data and methods to predict and improve a company's delivery of products and services to its customers.
Manage and oversee the calculation of metal needs and be the SME for metal specification communications among cross-functional teams.
Extract and manage, monitor and all reports regarding Metal Planning, Deliveries, Specification, and overall strategy of metal materials.
Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, such as disruptions in supply, transportation, or demand, and implement contingency plans as needed.
Publish key reports of Mill Tonnage supply Monthly, Post tons required, purchases and allocations by mill and ending coil tonnage each month.
Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities to reduce material leadtimes, specification segmentation, and improve efficiency to supply chain and operational process; Contribute to the development of business system initiatives and enhancements.
Inventory ManagementConduct demand forecasting and inventory planning to ensure that materials are available when needed and in the appropriate quantities.
Collaborate with key stakeholders and subject matter experts within each business unit to develop and implement appropriate inventory strategies and forecasting processes.
Maintain the required inventory to run the production and sales process smoothly, having material available, improve order fulfillment, right amount of stock and mitigate having the wrong inventory on hand.
Support supply chain metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor performance of material in inventory and supplier inventories.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to the supply chain.
Sales Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) Support the setup and implementation of a scalable, sustainable process for Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning process.
You will work with account managers, operations personnel, financial analysts, and senior leadership as we continue to define and develop SIOP to support an integrated business planning.
Coordinate and support reviews as required and identify obstacles and roadblocks to implementing SIOP, develop and communicate possible solutions.
Drive transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement through solutions to track key assumptions, inputs, and outputs; Provide business data analysis to support and implement new business initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or related fieldMinimum of 7
years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing industry with 3
years' of analytics experience or working in an analyst role or similar toMust be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities to completionAbility to lead cross-functional teams in a matrixed, geographically dispersed environment and working across organizational boundaries to ensure successful project implementation.
Strong organizational, communication (oral and written) and time management skillsStrong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization toolsStrong problem-solving skillsStrong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and modeling toolsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliersProficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical toolsKnowledge of supply chain management software systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systemsFamiliarity with regulatory requirements related to supply chain managementAbility to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAbout the Company:
